India Rejects Pakistan’s Allegations on Balochistan Attack, Counters J&K Claims at UN
India has firmly dismissed Pakistan’s allegations of its involvement in the recent train hijacking in Balochistan. It emphasized that the world is well aware of the true epicenter of global terrorism. In a separate exchange at the United Nations, India strongly countered Pakistan’s attempt to bring up the Kashmir issue. It reiterated that Jammu & Kashmir remains an integral part of India.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal rejected Pakistan’s claims, stating, “We categorically deny these baseless allegations. The global community knows where terrorism originates. Instead of blaming others, Pakistan should focus on addressing its internal issues and failures.” His remarks were in response to Pakistan’s accusations that India was behind the train attack.
Pakistan’s military representative, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, claimed that India supported the attack on the Jaffar Express. The incident resulted in the deaths of 26 passengers and security personnel. Similar allegations have been made in the past regarding incidents in Balochistan.
At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, India criticized Pakistan. It did so for repeatedly bringing up Jammu & Kashmir in international forums. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, P Harish, dismissed these remarks as baseless. He asserted that Pakistan’s attempts would neither strengthen its claims nor justify its role in promoting cross-border terrorism.
Pakistan’s former foreign secretary has made an unwarranted reference to the Indian Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Harish stated this was expected during an informal plenary session to mark the International Day to Combat Islamophobia. He further added, “Pakistan’s well-documented history of bigotry and extremism is widely recognized. No amount of misinformation will change the fact that J&K was an integral part of India. It is still an integral part of India. It will always remain an integral part of India.”
India continues to maintain that Pakistan’s repeated references to Kashmir serve as a distraction from its own internal problems. They also highlight longstanding issues with terrorism. The diplomatic confrontation underscores the ongoing tensions between the two nations on both regional security and international platforms.
Amid all this The #BLA has released a video of its chief Bashir Zeb stating We will escalate this war to such an extent that the people of Punjab will come out of their homes onto the streets, grab their army by the collar, and scream, Please leave #Balochistan
