China Leaked Key Info on Indian Vectors During Operation Sindoor: Army
The Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Capability Development & Sustenance) has explained how India tackled not one, but three adversaries during Operation Sindoor. He referred to how China leaked information to Pakistan and turkey supported Pakistan.
In an address at industry chamber FICCI, he stated that the four day conflict was fought on one border but with two adversaries. Pakistan was the front and China provided them all possible support. He said that Pakistan received real-time inputs about India’s important vectors from China during Operation Sindoor. Lt Gen. Singh also highlighted China’s ancient military strategy of “36 stratagems” and killing the adversary with a “borrowed knife”.
“Pakistan was at the front. China was providing all possible support…Turkey also played an important role in providing the type of support it did.
“When DGMO-level talks were going on, Pakistan actually was mentioning that we know your…important vector is primed and it is ready for action. I would request you to pull it back. So, they were getting live inputs…from China,” Singh said.
The general expressed that statistics from the past five years also show that China supports Pakistan. China tests its weapons against others by supplying them to Pakistan.
In the last five years, 81% of the military hardware that Pakistan is acquiring is Chinese. This statistic reflects significant reliance on Chinese equipment. China is able to test its weapons against other weapons, so it’s like a live lab available to them.”
He cited the Thirty-Six Stratagems, a Chinese essay to illustrate schemes used in war, politics, and others. Calling Beijing the “good old victim” and citing one of the stratagems – kill with a borrowed knife – Singh said instead of stepping on the actual field, it used Pakistan against India.
“China, of course, the good old victim, kill by a borrowed knife…He would rather use the neighbour to cause pain than get involved in the mud-slinging match on the Northern Border,” the Army general said.
As for Turkey, it has always pledged its support for “brother” Pakistan. Turkey also helped Pakistan during the conflict. “We saw numerous drones coming. They were landing in the face of war. This occurred during the war, along with the individuals who were there,” Lt. Gen. Singh said.
Mere weeks after Operation Sindoor, the Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They demonstrated support for each other.
The Turkish President stressed the importance of deeper cooperation in areas like intelligence sharing and counter-terrorism. Ever since the conflict, India has repeatedly iterated its strict stance against terrorism and terror supporting nations.
