NCC India's Youth
The National Cadet Corps (NCC), the world’s largest voluntary uniformed youth organization, showcased the strength and potential of India’s youth during the prestigious Prime Minister’s Rally held on 27th January 2025. With over 20 lakh cadets participating worldwide, the NCC continues to shape the nation’s future leaders under its motto, “Unity and Discipline.” This year more than 2300 Cadets participated in the Republic Day Camp out of which 917 girl cadets represented the country’s growing NCC strength.
The rally marked the grand finale of the Republic Day Camp (RDC), an annual month-long event held at DG NCC, Delhi. This flagship camp brings together cadets from all 17 NCC Directorates across India and from friendly foreign nations. The cadets participate in a variety of activities, including marching down Kartavya Path on Republic Day, cultural performances, and cross-cultural exchanges, highlighting the unity in diversity of India.
The Prime Minister’s Rally is the crowning moment of the RDC, where achievements are celebrated, awards are conferred, and cadets showcase their exemplary skills. This year’s event witnessed several milestones:
• The Karnataka and Goa Directorate emerged as the Champion Banner winner, with the Delhi Directorate securing the Runner-Up position.
• Over 500 cadets set a world record by presenting India’s diverse cultural heritage in a stunning two-minute performance.
• The Prime Minister lauded the NCC’s contribution to nation-building, emphasizing its role in instilling discipline and inspiring youth to work towards a brighter future.
During his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the ‘Panch Pran’ vision, urging the youth to:
1. Strive for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
2. Break free from the mindset of colonial servitude.
3. Take pride in India’s rich culture and heritage.
4. Contribute actively to nation-building.
5. Uphold the values of responsible citizenship.
The NCC’s Prime Minister’s Rally 2025 reaffirmed that India’s youth are indeed a beacon of pride, exemplifying discipline, unity, and an unwavering commitment to the nation. Through initiatives like these, the NCC continues to nurture the leaders of tomorrow, ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for India.
