Mirai 2025: Box Office Success & Cinematic Highlights, Boost in Advance Ticket Sales

After delivering HanuMan a super hit in 2003, Karthik Gattamneni’s next project is Teja Sajja’s film Mirai.

Mirai’s Box Office Impact

Advance ticket sales on the ticket booking app BookMyShow is getting huge response. The advance booking commenced on September 9, and the film maintained a good hold at the ticket window.

The film managed to register seventh-best pre-sales for a Telugu film on BMS in 2025. It surpassed Thandel’s 155K pre-sales on BMS to claim the seventh spot. However, it stayed below Daaku Maharaaj’s 235K presales.

Mirai managed to register a pre-sale of 194K on BMS. There was a jump of almost 673% from day 1 of advance sales to day 2. It then jumped by more than 80% from day 2 to day 3.

Mirai revolves around a young warrior. He is given a task to protect the nine sacred scriptures. These scriptures can turn any mortal into a deity. The film explores key human values and emotions such as compassion, ethics, hatred and greed. Positive reactions have started to pour in on X, formerly known as Twitter.

About Mirai

The film is Teja’s next after his ₹295 crore superhero film HanuMan (2023). Mirai is directed by Karthik and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory. It also stars Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, Jayaram and others in key roles. The film will be released in theatres on 12 September. This is Teja’s next film after HanuMan, which was a surprise hit when it was released for Sankranthi 2023. So expectations are high for his next film too.
