Suniel Shetty Reacts to Paresh Rawal’s Hera Pheri Exit

Suniel Shetty shared something different from Paresh Rawal’s claim. He was not informed by the veteran actor about his decision to quit Hera Pheri 3. He said while the film can happen without him and Akshay Kumar, Paresh’s character is indispensable to the film.

Paresh Rawal announced his exit from the highly-anticipated film Hera Pheri 3. Days later, actor Suniel Shetty expressed his disappointment. After leaving the film, Paresh Rawal claimed that his co-stars are aware of his decision. However, Suniel Shetty had a complete different story to tell. He shared that his children told him the news of Paresh’s exit from Hera Pheri 3. This occurred amid an interview of his upcoming film Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath.

In an interview with India Today, Suniel Shetty shared, “Athiya and Ahan sent the news to me. They asked, ‘Papa, what is this?’ And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like holy s***.”

Suniel Shetty shared, “It cannot happen. 100 per cent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have 1 per cent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can’t happen without Paresh ji. No, it doesn’t. Raju and Shyam, if they’re not hammered by Babu here, it doesn’t work.”

Akshay Kumar sues Paresh Rawal

Paresh Rawal’s sudden decision reportedly attracted a legal suit from his co-star Akshay Kumar. Akshay had bought the rights of the film from Feroz Nadiadwala. Speaking to Hindustan Times, filmmaker Priyadarshan is also working with both stars in his horror comedy Bhoot Bangla. He said, “I don’t know why this happened. Paresh didn’t inform us. Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to check with both Paresh and Suniel. I did check with them, and both were onboard.”

He added, “I don’t have anything to lose. Akshay has invested money. That could be the reason why he is taking this action.”

Decision to leave Hera Pheri 3 not due to…: Paresh Rawal

On May 18, Paresh Rawal took to his official X handle. He shared that his decision to leave Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. He wrote, “I wish to put it on record. My decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”
