Aishwarya Rai Questions Lalu Yadav: “Where Was Social Justice When I Was Assaulted?”

New Delhi, 26 May 2025 – Aishwarya Rai is the estranged wife of Tej Pratap Yadav. She is also the daughter-in-law of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. Aishwarya Rai has levelled serious allegations against the Yadav family. Speaking to the media on Monday, she expressed deep disappointment over how she was treated. She questioned the family’s commitment to the principles of social justice.

“Where Was Social Justice Then?” Aishwarya’s Direct Question to Lalu

Addressing the media, Aishwarya Rai questioned the silence of the Yadav family during her time of distress. “Where was the so-called social justice when I was being beaten?” she asked. She added that the family, instead of supporting her, tried to cover up Tej Pratap’s faults by blaming her.

She alleged that she was defamed and falsely accused just to protect Tej Pratap. “The entire blame was shifted onto me. I was insulted, defamed, and was accused falsely to protect him,” she stated. She asserted that her fight for justice is far from over.

Tej Pratap Expelled From RJD and Family Over Controversial Post

The controversy erupted further. Tej Pratap Yadav recently shared a photo on social media with a woman named Anushka Yadav. He claimed a 12-year-long relationship with her. The post led to swift and stern action from Lalu Prasad Yadav. He expelled Tej Pratap from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years. He also disowned him from the family.

In a strong statement, Lalu said that anyone who chooses to associate with Tej Pratap after this can do so. They are free to make that decision on their own conscience. The move was supported by his younger son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

Tejashwi Yadav Responds: “I Don’t Approve of This”

Tejashwi Yadav also spoke to the media, distancing himself from his elder brother’s actions. “Personally, I don’t approve of such things and I don’t tolerate them either. I am focused on my work. My elder brother is an adult and capable of making his own choices,” he stated.

Aishwarya’s Allegations and Commitment to Fight

Aishwarya referred to Tej Pratap’s 12-year relationship claim. She stated it is now clear that this affair existed even during their marriage. “It’s easy to blame the woman. When I was being abused, where were those who speak of values and justice?” she asked.

She concluded by reaffirming her determination to continue the fight for justice. “I will keep fighting. I will not stop until I get justice,” she said.

In his now-viral Facebook post on Saturday, Tej Pratap shared a photo with Anushka Yadav. He wrote:
“I am Tej Pratap Yadav. The person in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have known each other and been in love for the past 12 years. We’ve been in a relationship throughout this time. I’ve been wanting to share this with you for a long time, but didn’t know how to say it. Today, I’m expressing my heart through this post. I hope you understand.”
