A shocking controversy has emerged surrounding Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. The current trustees have accused the former trustees of financial misconduct. First FIR (July 2024) – Allegations of fraud and forgery amounting to Rs 12 crore.
Second FIR (December 2024) – Case of misappropriating Rs 44 crore in legal fees.
Third FIR (March 2025) – Major embezzlement case involving Rs 1,250 crore and money laundering allegations.

Legal Battle and Court-Ordered Investigation

Initially, the Bandra Police refused to register an FIR when a complaint was filed by trustee Prashant Kishore Mehta. Following this, the matter was taken to Bandra Court. The court gave instructions to the police. They were told to file an FIR under Section 175 (3) of the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSC).

Trustees’ Statement: ‘Evidence of Black Magic Found’

The current trustees claim they discovered the bones and urns while conducting renovation work. Prashant Mehta, a permanent trustee of Lilavati Hospital, said that the mysterious objects were found. They were buried beneath the office floors of key trustees.

“When we began breaking the floor for renovations, we discovered human bones and hair-filled urns. The entire process was recorded on video. This raises serious questions about the former trustees’ intentions. It suggests a possible attempt to instill fear among hospital staff or damage its reputation,” said Mehta.
