2025 Champions Trophy: Prize Money Received by Each Team

The 2025 Champions Trophy concluded with India emerging as the champion after defeating New Zealand in the final. While India secured the biggest prize purse, even the teams eliminated in the league stage did not leave empty-handed. Here’s a breakdown of the prize money awarded to each team in the tournament.

1. India – The Biggest Payout

As the 2025 Champions Trophy winner, India received the highest prize money, taking home approximately Rs 20.48 crore for securing the title.

 2. New Zealand – Runner-up Reward

Despite falling short in the final, New Zealand earned a significant sum. The runner-up team was awarded approximately Rs 10.9 crore.

 3. South Africa – Semi-Finalist Earnings

South Africa reached the semi-finals but was knocked out by New Zealand. For their performance, they were awarded Rs 5.32 crore.

 4. Australia – Another Semi-Finalist Payout

Australia, which lost to India in the semi-finals, also secured a substantial amount. The team received Rs 5.03 crore in prize money.

 5. Afghanistan – Impressive Performance Rewarded

Afghanistan made headlines with a stunning victory over England during the tournament. The team received Rs 4.22 crore for their efforts.

 6. Bangladesh – Despite Struggles, Earned Crores

Though Bangladesh failed to register a single win, they were still awarded Rs 3.94 crore. One of their matches was washed out due to rain, impacting their campaign.

 7. England – A Tournament to Forget

The 2025 Champions Trophy proved to be a disastrous outing for England, suffering losses against Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan. They received Rs 2.20 crore in prize money.

 8. Host Nation Pakistan – Participation Payout

As the host country, Pakistan received Rs 2.20 crore for participating in the tournament. However, apart from this prize money, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also earned additional revenue. This was from hosting rights under the hybrid model used for organizing the event.

India took home the largest share. Every participating team received a financial reward. This ensured all eight teams benefited from the competition.
