Trump Supports India, Will Erase Pakistan and Warns China Along with Support to India from US Administration

The tragic terrorist assault in Pahalgam claimed 26 lives. Following this event, the United States has reiterated its unwavering support for India. They support Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the fight against terrorism.

In a video released by Trump, he has said that he does not want war. He wants peace. However, if war happens, he will support India, erase Pakistan, and warn China. He also said he loves India and Indian People.

Trump Administration Voices Strong Backing

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce addressed the media. She stressed the United States’ firm stance. President Trump conveyed to Prime Minister Modi last week that we stand firmly with India in its battle against terrorism. Prime Minister Modi has our full support.

Diplomatic Engagements Underway

Bruce noted that Washington remains in constant communication with both New Delhi and Islamabad as tensions rise. She stated, “The Secretary (of State) has urged both nations to pursue a responsible resolution. It should be lasting and support peace and stability in the region.”

She further confirmed that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been in direct contact with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to facilitate continued dialogue.

Call for De-escalation and Regional Stability

When asked about the impact of U.S. de-escalation efforts, Bruce said, “We are advocating for a responsible resolution from both sides. Beyond that, I have no further specifics to share.”

The U.S. continues to engage with officials from both nations at various levels, aiming to reduce tensions and prevent further conflict.

India’s Retaliatory Measures

Following the April 22 terror attack, India has initiated several diplomatic and military responses. These include:

  • Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty
  • Closure of the Integrated Check Post at Attari
  • Reduction of diplomatic staff at Pakistan’s High Commission

The Indian military has responded to repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control. Recent confrontations have been reported in Kupwara, Poonch, Tutmari Gali, and Rampur sectors.

Pentagon Offers Sympathy and Support

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reached out to Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, expressing his condolences and reinforcing American support. “I personally offered my deepest sympathies. I assured him that the United States stands with the people of India,” Hegseth stated on social media platform X.

India Seeks Accountability

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, in his dialogue with Secretary Rubio, emphasized an important need. It is crucial to bring to justice those responsible for orchestrating and supporting the attack. India has consistently called for strong international action against terrorism and its enablers.
