Indian Flag Missing from Gaddafi Stadium

News agencies reached out to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for clarification. Officials cited guidelines from the International Cricket Council (ICC). A PCB spokesperson stated, “The ICC has advised that only four flags will be hoisted on CT25 match days. These include those of the ICC (Event Authority), PCB (Event Host), and the two competing teams.”

This explanation, though, has not put an end to the debate. Many are questioning why all participating nations’ flags are not displayed at the Gaddafi Stadium. This is common practice for global tournaments. Some reports suggest that while other nations’ flags are present at the venue, India’s absence has fueled speculation.

Tensions are already high between India and Pakistan, especially in cricketing affairs. This incident is to add to the ongoing discussions about India’s participation in the tournament.
