Yogi Adityanath demands four Ranji teams in UP from BCCI
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanded four Ranji teams from BCCI for the 25 crore population of Uttar Pradesh. Former cricketer Mohsin Raja welcomed this demand placed during the UP T20 program at Ekana Stadium. There is enthusiasm among sports lovers, now the decision depends on BCCI.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big appeal. He addressed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He said that one Ranji team is not enough for a state with a population of 25 crore. The Chief Minister demanded in clear words that at least four Ranji teams should be formed in Uttar Pradesh. This will ensure that young talents in the state receive more opportunities.

In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the final match of UP T20 League organized at Ekana Stadium on Saturday. During this, he gave his opinion on cricket-related issues. He requested BCCI to form four teams to promote the talents of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that “It is not fair for a state like Uttar Pradesh with a population of 25 crores. They should not have only one Ranji team. Lakhs of youth play cricket here. Many of them do not get the right platform. If there are four teams, the players will get more opportunities and Indian cricket will also benefit.”
