India Destroyed 20% of Pakistan’s Air Power in a Single Night – The Role of the Rafale Jets

India’s air operation using Rafale fighter jets sent shockwaves through Pakistan, destroying critical PAF bases and shifting the strategic balance in the region overnight.

Satellite images recently revealed that India is believed to have delivered a devastating blow to the Pakistan Air Force on the night of May 9. Within a few hours, the Indian Air Force launched coordinated strikes on 11 key PAF airbases, allegedly crippling nearly 20% of Pakistan’s vital air infrastructure, according to reports from New Delhi.

Initially, Islamabad dismissed the claims as unfounded. However, later confirmations by independent agencies and image analyses appear to support India’s version of events.

The strikes came just hours before a surprise ceasefire announcement by then-U.S. President Donald Trump, suggesting the escalation may have crossed what Washington considered an “acceptable threshold.”

The U.S., initially uninvolved, intervened abruptly as Pakistan’s air defenses appeared to be overwhelmed by the intensity of the Indian assault.

The operation was seen not only as a tactical move to weaken Pakistan but also as a powerful geostrategic message to the broader region. If all the reported details are verified, this would rank among the most effective air operations of the 21st century.
