Adah Sharma’s Surprising Take on Wedding Dreams

Adah Sharma, who shot to fame with The Kerala Story, has always kept her personal life private. Unlike many Bollywood celebrities, there have been no reports about her dating anyone. In a recent interview, Adah made a surprising statement about marriage that left her fans stunned.

“My Dream Is Not to Get Married”

Adah Sharma made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the horror film 1920. She gained widespread recognition through The Kerala Story. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, she was asked about her dream wedding outfit. She responded, “My dream is not to get married. If I ever decide to get married, that would be a nightmare for me.”

When further asked if she fears being in a relationship, Adah clarified, “I am not afraid of relationships. But when it comes to marriage, I feel like I have experienced everything on screen. Maybe that has taken away the excitement of it in real life.”

She added a humorous twist, saying, “If I ever have to get married, I’d do it in comfortable clothes.” Or maybe in uncomfortable clothes just for fun! But then, I’d need a partner who is sporty enough. They should enjoy a crazy, over-the-top, caricature-like wedding theme that everyone can enjoy.”

Adah Sharma’s Blockbuster Success

In 2023, Adah became the talk of the industry with The Kerala Story. The film turned out to be the highest-grossing female-led film in India. Sudipto Sen directed the movie. It earned ₹242 crore at the domestic box office. This surpassed Tanu Weds Manu Returns (₹150 crore) and Gangubai Kathiawadi (₹132 crore).

Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Adah Sharma will soon be seen in Tumko Meri Kasam, directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film, set to release on March 21, also features Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, and Esha Deol in key roles.
