Hit-and-Run by YouTuber’s Lamborghini in Noida: Police Investigation under Scrutiny

Noida: A luxury Lamborghini struck two people in Noida’s Sector 94. It left them critically injured. Popular YouTuber Mridul Tiwari owns the car, police confirmed on Monday. The incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, has sparked controversy over alleged lapses in the police investigation.

The car was being driven by Deepak, a Jaipur-based car broker, who was reportedly taking it for a test drive. Witnesses said that after hitting the pedestrians, Deepak callously asked if anyone had died. He was arrested at the scene. However, police initially recorded the driver as “unknown” in the FIR. This raised questions about a possible cover-up.

Hours later, Noida Police released a statement identifying Deepak as the driver. The statement made no mention of Mridul Tiwari, the car’s registered owner. This has led to suspicions of preferential treatment. Tiwari is a well-known content creator with over 19 million YouTube subscribers.

Police have now summoned Mridul for questioning. They aim to determine if he had authorised the car’s use at the time of the incident. Investigators are probing whether the YouTuber had any direct involvement or if Deepak was driving the car without permission.

The incident has sparked public outrage, with many criticizing the police for the inconsistencies in their handling of the case. There is a lack of transparency. The identification of both the driver and the car owner has been delayed. These issues have led to allegations of a botched or biased investigation.
