IndiGo Airlines has received a final three-month extension to operate two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft leased on a damp lease basis from Turkish Airlines.
The airline was previously authorized to operate these aircraft until May 31, 2025. While IndiGo had requested a six-month extension, the request was not approved.
To prevent passenger inconvenience and disruption of services, authorities have granted a one-time, final extension for continued operation of these aircraft until August 31, 2025. This extension is contingent upon IndiGo’s written commitment to terminate the damp lease agreement with Turkish Airlines within this extended period and not to seek any further extensions.
