Historic Joint Military Drill Ends at Garud Training Centre

New Delhi, June 11: The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF) have successfully concluded their joint exercise. It is called Exercise Tiger Claw 2025. This marks the first-ever independent Special Forces exercise between the two nations. The two-week-long drill wrapped up yesterday at the Garud Regimental Training Centre.

Training Across Northern India

Held from May 26 to June 10, 2025, the exercise was conducted at multiple strategic locations across North India. The operation brought elite forces from both countries together for intensive, realistic joint training missions.

Focus on Special Operations and Interoperability

The key goals of the exercise included fostering enhanced military partnership. It also aimed at mutual learning through best practices in Special Operations. Another goal was to build interoperability between the IAF’s Garud commandos and USAF Special Tactics units.

Strengthening Strategic Ties

Tiger Claw 2025 reflects the growing defence cooperation between India and the United States. It also shows their strategic trust. This is especially evident in the domain of high-impact joint operations and special forces collaboration.
