Shefali Jariwala’s Untimely Death Shakes Family, Friends, and Fans

Shefali Jariwala, Indian actress and model, has passed away at the age of 42. The cause of death has not been disclosed by her family members, but is suspected to be cardiac arrest. However, the police was at Shefali’s residence, questioning the help. The body was taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

Rise to fame

Shefali gained widespread recognition in 2002 with the hugely popular music video Kaanta Laga. She later featured in the Bollywood film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. She appeared on the dance reality show, Nach Baliye, with her husband Parag. and joined the cast of Bigg Boss 13.

Is her anti-ageing treatment linked to her death?

Shefali Jariwala was undergoing anti-ageing treatment for the past five to six years. It involved the use of Vitamin C and Glutathione, a drug commonly used for skin lightening and detoxification. However, these processes are not known to directly affect cardiac health.

Shefali Jariwala’s marriage

Shefali’s husband, Parag Tyagi visited the Cooper hospital and his public appearance has sent social media into a frenzy. Parag and Shefali shared a close bond. It is believed that after her troublesome first marriage, he helped her heal.

Earlier, Shefali was married to Harmeet Singh, one half of the celebrated musician duo Meet Brothers. Meet Bros are known for several chart-topping Bollywood hits. These include Baby Doll from Ragini MMS 2, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan from Roy, and Hangover sung by Salman Khan in Kick. They also composed the song High Heels with Yo Yo Honey Singh. This song is from Ki & Ka. They also created Nachan Farrate from All Is Well.

They got married in 2004 but had to seperate shortly after, in 2009. At the time of their divorce, Shefali accused Harmeet of ‘domestic abuse’ as per a report of Indian Express. She had filed an FIR against Harmeet Singh at Mumbai’s Oshiwara police station, accusing him of physical and mental abuse. She also alleged that he withdrew around ₹12 lakh from their joint account without her permission.

Shefali Jariwala said that she had lost faith in love. Fate intervened unexpectedly. She met television actor Parag Tyagi at a dinner party. It was hosted by a mutual friend. They hit it off instantly. They dated for a few years. Parag proposed to her on the sets of Nach Baliye in 2012. In 2014, after four years of dating, they tied the knot. Once Shefali had also expressed her desire to adopt a child with Parag.

Ex-brother in law, Manmeet Singh’s emotional note

Shefali’s former brother in law, Manmeet Singh, took to Instagram. He wrote an emotional note for the actress: “Rest in peace, Shef. Only god knows why he called you back so soon. We will always cherish the amazing moments spent with you. May Waheguru be with you on your onward journey.”
