  • Anju Sharma, a widow from Kurukshetra, Haryana, was traveling to visit her daughter Nimmi. Before boarding, she posted a WhatsApp status that read, “Man is a toy.” Her journey ended in tragedy.
  • Dr. Hitesh Shah and his wife Amita Shah were en route to London to celebrate a family member’s 70th birthday. Their son, who lives in the U.S., is returning to India to provide DNA samples for identification.

Air India Crew Among the Victims

  • Roshan Songhare was a recently recruited air hostess from Maharashtra. She was also a popular travel influencer on Instagram. She had fulfilled her childhood dream of working in aviation. Her life was cut short in the crash.
  • Deepak Pathak, another Air India crew member from Badlapur, Maharashtra, had been married for two years. He was passionate about traveling. His last social media status hinted at his London trip. It now serves as a heartbreaking reminder.

Whole Families Wiped Out in Seconds

  • A family from Banswara, Rajasthan, perished together in the plane crash. The family members included Pratik Joshi, his wife Komi Vyas, and their three children. They had an elder daughter and twin siblings.

  • In Nagpur, the daughter of a laborer died in the incident. Two of her family members also perished. Their community is in deep mourning.

  • Bhogilal Parmar and his wife, residents of Lambha village in Ahmedabad, had looked forward to their London trip. The crash turned their excitement into heartbreak for those they left behind.

Expatriates and Foreign Tourists Among the Victims

  • Ranjita Gopakumar is a nurse from Kerala working in the UK. She had flown to India to visit her daughters. She also went to complete paperwork for a job in Kerala. She was returning to London when her journey ended in disaster.
  • Jamie Meek and Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek were British tourists. They shared their excitement about their India trip in a final Instagram video before boarding. They were seated in 22A and 22C — both died in the crash.

Political and Public Figures Touched by the Tragedy

  • Aparna Mahadik, a crew member on the ill-fated flight, was the daughter-in-law of NCP MP Sunil Tatkare. Her death has been confirmed by party sources.
  • Reports indicate that former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was seen on the flight. A passenger even video-called his family to share the moment.
