Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described “Operation Sindoor” as a decisive and symbolic response to terrorism. Speaking at a mock drill event in Lucknow, he stated that those who dared to harm the dignity of India’s daughters had now lost everything. He declared that they had now lost everything. “This operation stands for the honour of our mothers, sisters, and the nation,” he asserted.
Zero Tolerance Towards Insult to Nation
CM Yogi sent a stern warning to terrorist organizations. He emphasized that those who attempt to dishonor Bharat Mata will no longer be spared. Referring to the Indian military’s recent retaliation following the Pulwama terror attack, he described it as both impactful and message-driven.
Firm Stand on National Security
Addressing citizens and security personnel, CM Yogi reiterated that the nation’s pride, integrity, and unity are paramount. “Anyone who conspires against India will have to face the consequences,” he said. He expressed full support for the Indian armed forces. He added that national interest will always take precedence. This applies to villages, cities, or neighborhoods.
Gratitude and Condolences Expressed
The Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the Indian Army. He also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Defence Minister, and the Union Cabinet. This was on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh for the successful military action. He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to their families.
Mock Drill in Lucknow Highlights Emergency Preparedness
The event in Lucknow included a large-scale mock drill conducted at the Reserve Police Lines, showcasing inter-agency coordination. The drill began with slogans praising Bharat Mata, followed by simulations of enemy airstrikes. Blackouts were enacted, and citizens were guided to secure zones as part of the exercise.
Agencies like NDRF, SDRF, and medical teams demonstrated swift response measures including first aid, rescue operations, and chemical attack preparedness. The drill also served to educate the public on how to respond during emergencies.
Call for Civic Participation in National Security
CM Yogi called upon all citizens—not just NCC, Home Guard, or Scout members—to actively participate in security efforts. He emphasized the importance of being informed and prepared for emergencies. He stated that every citizen has a role in safeguarding the nation.
