Kishtwar Cloudburst Sparks Flash Flood, Bodies Recovered, Yatra Suspended

Massive cloudburst is reported in J&K, sparking flash floods in Chosoti, a small village in J&K.  At least 46 people, most of them pilgrims, were killed in flash floods on the Machail Mata Yatra route at Chosoti village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Thursday afternoon. More than 100 people are injured. Over 160 people have been rescued so far. Due to flash floods Machail Mata Yatra, an annual  yatra which en-routes Chosoti, in Kishtwar district is obstructed.
