Former Bangladesh Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, has been sentenced to six months in prison. This was for a contempt of court case by the International Crimes Tribunal on Wednesday, July 2. Since the leader fled Bangladesh about a year ago, this is the first case she has been sentenced in. The verdict was issued by a three-member bench of the International Crimes Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder.
