Outrage After Man Eats Chicken Inside ISKCON Restaurant in London, Video Goes Viral

London: A video shows a man eating fried chicken inside Govinda’s Restaurant. This restaurant is run by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in London. The video has gone viral on social media. It is sparking outrage and debate.

In the video, user @ssaratht shared it on X (formerly Twitter). The man can be seen entering the strictly vegetarian ISKCON Govinda’s restaurant. Despite knowing it serves only pure vegetarian food, he asked the staff whether any meat dishes were available. He learned that the food does not even use onions and garlic. The man then took out a KFC chicken bucket from his bag.

He then placed the chicken on the restaurant counter, took out a piece, and began eating it inside the premises. The staff repeatedly asked him to leave. However, he ignored them. He walked around the restaurant and even offered the chicken to other diners.

Confrontation and Staff Reaction

One woman seated in the restaurant told him his actions were disrespectful. They violated the spiritual and dietary principles of the establishment. Despite multiple requests from the staff to stop and leave, the man continued eating and disturbing other patrons.

Public Backlash

The video has triggered strong reactions online. Many social media users condemned the act, calling it offensive and insensitive to religious sentiments. Several users questioned whether the act was racially or religiously motivated.

One user commented, “Bringing outside food into a restaurant is already inappropriate. Doing this in ISKCON with meat is not just disrespectful—it’s an attack on our core values. Action must be taken.”

Others stressed the need for authorities to intervene and prevent such provocations in sacred or faith-based establishments.
