Pakistan Escalates Hostilities Along Western Border; India Responds with Precision Strikes

Multiple Threats Neutralized Across LoC and International Border

New Delhi: Tensions have escalated significantly. Pakistan continued aggressive military actions along India’s western frontier. They deployed a mix of armed drones, long-range munitions, and fighter aircraft. These were aimed at both civilian areas and strategic military infrastructure. The Indian Armed Forces observed these provocations across the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB). The areas spanned from Srinagar in the north to Naliya in the south. In response, they met the provocations with firm retaliation.

Intrusions and Hostile Attacks Reported at 26+ Locations

Pakistani forces attempted multiple airspace intrusions using unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). They conducted heavy-caliber artillery shelling across more than 26 locations. These included harassment attacks along the LoC and IB, targeting regions such as Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, and Bhuj.

India’s defence systems successfully intercepted and neutralized most threats. However, limited damage was sustained at Indian Air Force stations in Udhampur, Adampur, Bhuj, and Pathankot. A series of high-speed missile attacks were also detected after 1:40 a.m. on Friday, targeting several airbases in Punjab.

Civilian Sites Targeted in Cowardly Strikes

Pakistani forces made a particularly condemnable move. They struck civilian infrastructure. This included a medicare center and school premises located within or near airbases in Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur. Indian authorities labeled these actions as irresponsible and violative of international norms, emphasizing the deliberate targeting of non-military facilities.

India’s Calibrated Response Targets Military Infrastructure

In response, Indian Armed Forces launched precise, measured counterstrikes on pre-identified Pakistani military targets. These included command and control centers, technical installations, radar systems, and weapons storage facilities. Notably, radar installations at Pasrur and the Sialkot aviation base were engaged with precision-guided munitions launched from Indian fighter aircraft.

Defence officials reiterated that India’s operations were carried out with an emphasis on minimizing collateral damage. This aligns with New Delhi’s stated policy of responsible and proportionate action.

Pakistan’s Disinformation Campaign Rebuffed

Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities have launched a misinformation campaign across social media. They are falsely claiming the destruction of critical Indian defence assets. These assets include the S-400 system at Adampur, BrahMos bases at Nagrota, and major airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa.

India has categorically denied these allegations. It has presented visual and technical evidence to counter Pakistan’s narrative. India has reaffirmed the operational integrity of its installations.

LoC Shelling and Civilian Casualties in J&K

Pakistan’s hostilities extended to sustained artillery exchanges in the districts of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor. Heavy shelling using mortars and small arms occurred in these areas. This resulted in civilian casualties. The Indian Army responded with effective and proportionate firepower, reportedly causing significant damage to Pakistani military assets.

Indian Forces on High Alert Amid Forward Troop Movements

Indian intelligence has observed increased Pakistani troop movements toward forward areas, indicating possible intentions to escalate further. In response, the Indian Armed Forces remain at the highest level of operational readiness. All branches are coordinating closely to counter emerging threats.

India Reaffirms Its Stand on Non-Escalation

Despite the provocations, India continues to emphasize its commitment to restraint, provided the same is reciprocated by Pakistan. Defence officials reiterated that the Indian response is strictly focused on neutralizing threats. They emphasize the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty. Unnecessary escalation is being avoided.

India has shared evidence. This evidence debunks Pakistani claims of successful strikes on Indian infrastructure. It reinforces the transparency and credibility of India’s military posture.
