PM Modi Addresses Nation on ‘Operation Sindoor’: A New Era in India’s War on Terror

New Delhi, May 12 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today. This address was in response to recent escalations in national security. These issues arose particularly after the barbaric terrorist attack on April 22. In a powerful and emotionally charged speech, the Prime Minister laid out India’s stance on terrorism. He hailed the valor of the armed forces. He also introduced Operation Sindoor as a bold new doctrine in India’s defense strategy.

Salute to Brave Soldiers and Scientists

The Prime Minister opened his address by saluting the “brave soldiers and scientists” of India. He praised their unwavering dedication and courage. He also paid tribute to the “mothers and daughters of the nation.” PM Modi dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor to their resilience and strength.

A Barbaric Attack Met With Unflinching Resolve

PM Modi called the terrorist attack on April 22 “a devilish act.” He stated it was a direct attempt to break India’s sovereignty. “This was not just an attack on our people, it was an assault on the soul of India,” he said.

In response, full operational freedom was given to the Indian armed forces to act against terrorism. Operation Sindoor was not just a military maneuver. PM Modi described it as “a reflection of the nation’s sentiments — an ode to justice.”

Operation Sindoor: Precision, Power, and Purpose

Between the nights of May 6 and 7, the world witnessed the transformation of India’s resolve into strategic action. Indian missiles and drones precisely struck terrorist hideouts and training camps. Key terrorist hubs like Bahawalpur, long considered universities of terror, were devastated.

Over 100 terrorists were reportedly eliminated, including several high-ranking leaders who had previously moved freely under Pakistan’s shelter. “These were people connected to global terrorist networks. Now, they have paid the price,” Modi stated.

Pakistan’s Response and India’s Counter

In retaliation, Pakistan launched an attack targeting Indian schools, religious sites, civilians, and military establishments. However, their attempt was “exposed and neutralized,” said the Prime Minister.

“While Pakistan tried to strike our borders, India struck their core — even targeting their air bases,” Modi revealed. The counter-attack stunned Pakistan. It forced them to reach out to India’s DGMO on May 10 to confirm a ceasefire. They denied any further plans for escalation.

India’s New Policy: Zero Tolerance

PM Modi made it clear that the Indian response had only been postponed, not abandoned. “Our actions will now depend on their behavior.” He affirmed that India’s armed forces and the BSF remain on high alert.

Operation Sindoor follows in the footsteps of previous strategic offensives like the Surgical Strikes and Balakot Air Strikes. However, this time, it sets a new precedent. “India will no longer accept nuclear blackmail. Terrorists and those who shelter them will be treated alike,” he warned.

Made in India: A Military Milestone

Modi proudly highlighted the indigenous strength behind the operation. He stated: “Made in India warheads have proven their capabilities in modern warfare. This is the time for Atmanirbhar Bharat in defense.”

He called for unity across the nation. He emphasized that while this is not an age of war, it certainly cannot be an age of terrorism. “Zero tolerance is the only policy,” he affirmed.

A Message to the World: No Talks Without Terror Accountability

PM Modi sent a strong message globally. He said that India will only engage with Pakistan on one issue — terrorism and PoK. “Terror and talk do not coexist. Terror and trade do not coexist,” he said.

On the eve of Buddha Purnima, Modi reminded the world that India follows the path of peace. However, this path is founded on strength. “To become a developed nation, we must remain powerful — and when necessary, we will demonstrate that power.”

Final Words: Nation First, Always

In his concluding words, the Prime Minister saluted the Indian armed forces and every citizen of the country. “This is the strength of New India. This is our new resolve,” he declared.

“Bharat Mata ki Jai!”
