Jodhpur: The Indian Air Force conducted Exercise Desert Hunt 2025. It was an integrated Tri-Service Special Forces exercise. The event took place at Air Force Station Jodhpur from February 24 to 28, 2025. The exercise involved the Indian Army’s Para (Special Forces). It also included the Indian Navy’s Marine Commandos (MARCOS). The Indian Air Force’s Garud Special Forces participated in a simulated battle setting.
The high-intensity drills focused on enhancing interoperability, coordination, and operational synergy among the three forces. Key elements of the exercise included airborne insertion, precision strikes, hostage rescue, counter-terrorism operations, combat free-fall, and urban warfare scenarios. These simulations tested the combat readiness of the Special Forces under realistic conditions.
Senior military officials supervised the exercise, validating joint operational doctrines and assessing the effectiveness of inter-service cooperation. The exercise reaffirmed the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to national security. It ensured a swift and coordinated response to emerging security threats.
