Prayagraj Kumbh Mela: Tight Security Arrangements for Final Two Days

The Prayagraj Kumbh Mela is entering its final two days. Security has been strengthened across key locations. This ensures the safety of devotees. DIG Kumbh Mela, Vaibhav Krishna, stated that police forces have been strategically deployed. This is to manage the large crowds expected during the concluding days of the religious event.

Security arrangements have been made in two key ways. Additional police personnel are now at Mankameshwar Temple. Officers are also present at other prominent Shiva temples. This is to handle the heavy influx of devotees on Maha Shivratri. Meanwhile, a separate security force is at the Sangam. They are managing the large number of pilgrims arriving for the sacred bath.

To enhance surveillance and crowd management, all key locations are being monitored using drone cameras. The Pantoon bridges will remain closed to control movement. Prayagraj has been declared a “No Vehicle Zone” for the final days of the Kumbh.

Police forces have been deployed in groups across the area to ensure efficient crowd control and quick response to emergencies. Following the Shahi Snan on February 26, the authorities will carry out necessary formalities. These formalities will officially conclude the security operations of this grand religious gathering.

With these tight security measures in place, the administration is committed to ensuring safety for devotees. They can perform their religious rituals without inconvenience.
