Despite the referee’s desperate attempts to revive him, Mohit could not be saved. He was immediately rushed to a government hospital in Chandigarh, where doctors, after a swift examination, declared him dead.

Organizers of the championship, including Deepak Kumar, expressed shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of the promising athlete. Kumar revealed that Mohit had been advancing confidently in the competition. Then, the sudden onset of the heart attack left everyone stunned. It was an unforeseen tragedy.
