Key Military Acquisitions Under ‘Make in India’ Initiative worth Rs 1.05 Lakh Crore
The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) operates under Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. It has accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) to 10 capital acquisition proposals. These military acquisition proposals amount to approx. Rs 1.05 lakh crore through indigenous sourcing. The proposal includes the procurement of Armoured Recovery Vehicles and an Electronic Warfare System. It also covers the Integrated Common Inventory Management System and Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs).
