Sharjeel Imam Charged Over 2019 Jamia Nagar Riots
New Delhi, March 9, 2025 – Delhi Saket court has ordered the framing of charges against 11 accused. These include Sharjeel Imam and Aasif Iqbal Tanha. The charges are in connection with the 2019 Jamia Nagar violence case. At the same time, 14 individuals, including Safa-ur-Rehman, have been discharged from the case. The Saket court directed the accused to be charged for offenses. These include unlawful assembly, rioting, promoting enmity, conspiracy, and attempt to commit culpable homicide.
