India Blocks 16 Pakistani YouTube Channels for Spreading Misinformation After Pahalgam Attack
New Delhi, April 28, 2025 — In a major crackdown on disinformation, India has taken decisive action. It blocked 16 YouTube channels based in Pakistan. These channels were allegedly spreading provocative, communal, and misleading narratives. This followed the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, government sources said. The move was initiated on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs. It comes in the aftermath of the April 22 assault. During this assault, 26 people lost their lives.
