PM Modi’s Letter to Bangladesh: Honoring a Shared Past and Future Collaboration

He reinforced New Delhi’s position on preserving this shared history.
The message comes amid shifting political dynamics in Bangladesh. The fall of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government in August 2024, following widespread protests, has impacted India-Bangladesh relations. Modi’s letter reaffirmed India’s commitment to standing by Bangladesh during this transitional period. It also stressed the importance of safeguarding the historical bond between the two nations.
