US Military Flight Carrying 205 Illegal Indian Immigrants En-route to India
The first U.S. military flight has departed from the United States. It carries 205 illegal Indian immigrants and is now en route to India, according to sources familiar with the matter. The deportation flight, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster, is making a refueling stop. It will occur at Ramstein, Germany, or a location in the UAE, before reaching India. The exact arrival time remains undisclosed. Yet, sources suggest that the plane land in Raja Sansi, Amritsar early tomorrow morning. It is also being said that most of the people are from Punjab.
Strict Immigration Crackdown
The deportation comes amid the United States’ intensified crackdown on illegal immigration. A U.S. Embassy spokesperson confirmed the development. The spokesperson stated, “The United States is vigorously enforcing its border. It is tightening immigration laws and removing illegal migrants. These actions send a clear message: illegal migration is not worth the risk.”
More Deportation Flights Expected
According to sources, every individual on the deportation flight was verified before being sent back. This deportation is likely the first of several planned flights. More batches of illegal Indian immigrants are expected to be flown back in the coming weeks.
US Deporting Migrants from Multiple Countries
The U.S. has been increasing deportations of illegal immigrants from various countries. Authorities use similar military flights for sending back undocumented migrants to Latin America, Africa, and Asia. As per U.S. government claims, there are around 18,000 illegal Indian immigrants presently residing in the country. Many of them entered through irregular migration routes, including the dangerous Mexico-U.S. border crossings. With the tightening of immigration laws, more deportations of Indian nationals are expected soon.
This large-scale deportation underscores the U.S. government’s firm stance on border enforcement. It is expected to impact thousands of Indian nationals residing illegally in the country. Further official statements and confirmations from Indian authorities are awaited.
